  Regulating a one-way operation, a check valve permits flow in only one direction and prevents the reverse flow of fluids in pipeline system. The valves are designed to be held open by flowning water and to drop closed automatically by gravity when the flow stops or tends to reverse. Check valves are generally applicable to water meter, water pump, water tank, and transportation of liquid from one place to another.
